Job Description
We provide opportunities for engineers to develop their skills and acquire knowledge, we benefit with them. For this position, we are ideally looking for project engineers with 5-10 years of experience, but we are open to seeing more experienced candidates with strong applicable experience.
ResponsibilitiesCoordinate specific multi-discipline functions or areas within the project scope encompassing engineering, procurement, fabrication, and commissioning.Manage interfaces with key project stakeholders.Ensure performance is in accordance with contract specifications, within budget limits, and that project execution progresses as set down in the contract and project baselines.Manage project scope and change management submissions and processes.Liaise with Project Planners-Schedulers and Project Cost Controls personnel to prepare reports on project status and progress regularly.Participate in Piping and Instrumentation Drawing (P&ID) reviews, and Hazardous Operability Studies (HAZOPs).Prepare and review line, equipment, instrumentation, and specialty items lists.Coordinate and assist with the sizing and selection of the project’s instrumentation and process equipment.Participate in Bid / Evaluate / Award process including development of Request for Quotation (RFQ) packages, bid evaluations, and Bill of Material (BOM) entry into Enterprise Resource Planning software.Check vessel, structural, steel, piping spooling, assembly, and civil drawings.Participate in 3D model reviews and construction planning meetings.Coordinate and review the compilation of the Project Data and Operating Manuals for distribution to the project team and client.Perform shop inspections and resolve Nonconformance Reports (NCRs).Review ship loose lists.Resolve field Requests for Information (RFIs).Supervise junior or co-op student project engineers on a temporary task level basis.Essential Skills5-10 years of project engineering experience.Chemical or Mechanical Engineering PreferredProfessional Engineer (P.Eng) certified with APEGA.Executed project management and vendor management skills.Experience working on skids, compressors, or large packages.Strong communication skills for client interactions.Additional Skills & QualificationsFabrication experience.Rotating equipment experience.Work Environment
Fully in-office environment. Project engineers coordinate closely with the project managers. This individual will often switch groups and may work on the compression side of the business. Depending on the project, you may juggle multiple projects simultaneously. Projects range from $20k to $500M.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00
