WHAT YOU'LL DO
Responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and reliable operation of computer systems and servers. This role ensures that Cracker Barrel's IT infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently, providing technical support and managing system performance to meet business needs.System Installation and Configuration:Install and configure software, hardware, and networks with moderate supervisionSet up accounts and workstations for new users with moderate supervisionMaintenance and Monitoring:Perform regular system maintenance, including updates and patches with moderate supervisionMonitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation2.User Support and TroubleshootingProvide technical support to end-users.Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues with moderate supervisionSecurity Management:Implement and manage security measures to protect data and systems with moderate supervisionMonitor security protocols and respond to security breaches with moderate supervisionBackup and Recovery:Implement backup and recovery strategies with moderate supervisionUser Support and Training:Provide technical support and training to end users with moderate supervisionAddress user issues and queries promptly and effectively with moderate supervisionSystem Configuration and DeploymentInstall and configure new hardware and software with moderate supervisionManage system upgrades and migrations with moderate supervisionDocumentation and Reporting:Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes.Generate reports on system performance, security incidents, and maintenance activitiesCompliance and Policy EnforcementEnsure systems comply with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.Enforce IT policies and procedures with moderate supervisionCapacity Planning and Resource ManagementMonitor resource usage and alert senior staff to take action.Collaboration and CommunicationWork closely with other IT team members and departments.Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand and address their needs.Virtualization Management:Oversee virtualized environments and manage virtual machines with moderate supervisionDisaster Recovery Planning:Participate in disaster recovery testing activities to ensure business continuity.Vendor Management:Coordinate with vendors for hardware and software procurement and support.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.2-4 years proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar roleStrong knowledge of various operating systems and platformsStrong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network systems.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.Ability to lift and move equipment as needed.Manual dexterity to handle small components and tools.
