Position: Dock Check-In Clerk Job Description: Forward Intermodal is seeking capable and career-oriented individuals to work in our fast-paced shipping/dock operation. Our Dock Check-In Clerks are responsible for providing clear and concise administrative support for the warehouse. Core Responsibilities & Duties: + Completing truck check in and Export procedure on iPhone app + Thoroughly go through all paperwork with each driver at check in + Assign dock doors in correspondence with freight location + Verify Accuracy of Exports received + Supply forklift operators with necessary documents for loading + Keep dock area clean and organized + Profit tools look up, search, and scanning + Provide direction to all drivers as where to place orders that are brought back + Excellent attention to detail required + Act in a professional and an appropriate manner + Help with office related functions including phone calls, filing, scanning, and email + Schedule flexibility: ability to work overtime + Other duties as assigned Qualifications: + High School diploma or equivalent, post high school education a plus + Position requires indoor and outdoor duties + Prior customer service experience preferred + Excellent keyboarding skills, must have a strong attention to detail + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Knowledge of Microsoft office + Ability to multi-task must be detail oriented and be able to work in a fast-paced office environment + Excellent communication and problem-solving skills + Strong team player that thrives in a fast-paced environment + Must be flexible to work weekends and overtime as needed + Must be 18 or older Forward Air is an Equal Opportunity employer. #IND About Us Since 1990, Forward Air has been a leading provider of ground transportation and related logistics services to the North American air freight and expedited LTL market.
