Job Description

DESCRIPTION: 

This position provides support to the Asset Management team with regards to financial decisions affecting Calgary Real Estate Assets.  As a member of the Asset Management team, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects that will utilize your business knowledge and skills while allowing you to develop new skills.  Direct involvement in the business planning process and an interest in property investment are expected. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Contribute to the property budgeting process and the preparation of the annual business plan

Assist in analyzing new leasing deals and undertaking tenant credit checks

Contribute to ensuring the accuracy of real estate valuation models (Argus Enterprise)

Assist Financial Analyst as necessary, including the preparation of various ad hoc analyses (Excel-based)

Miscellaneous projects with other departments and corporate team members

QUALIFICATIONS
SERVICE / PERSONAL SKILLS: 

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral & written) and ability to interact with all levels of the organization

Self-motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision and independently when required

Demonstrated flexibility, strong organizational skills, and detail orientation

A team player, able to work in a fast-paced environment, cope with changing priorities and meet deadlines

Professional with a positive attitude

Ability to effectively balance a varied workload involving numerous projects and overlapping time constraints to meet tight deadlines

EXPERIENCE & TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Intermediate level of general MS Office

Exposure to Real Estate Valuation Software is an asset

EDUCATION / DESIGNATIONS / LICENSES:

As a successful candidate, you will be working towards a degree in Business studies, preferably with a focus on Finance or Real Estate.
