As part of Diagnostic Solutions' Commercial Excellence Team, the Product Applications and Customer Education team provides support for a range of activities, including product development, customer implementation, customer/operator training, and product troubleshooting.
The Customer Education team develops and delivers various customer education programs in alignment with the commercial launch and implementation of Hologic products (molecular assays) and instrumentation (clinical testing platforms). In partnership with Product Applications, Marketing, Sales, Molecular Application Specialists (field-based technical representatives), and our customers, this team is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing in-person customer training in our Customer Education Centers (San Diego, CA, and Marlborough, MA).
Within the Diagnostics division, we are focused on continuous development and delivery of highly regarded educational programs that greatly impact our customers’ experience with Hologic’s products, services, and ultimately patient care.
In line with the high level of demand for delivery of current and upcoming customer education programs, the Customer Education Intern will be responsible for working with applied technologies (i.e. AI (Artificial Intelligence), Outlook, Teams, Box, Sharepoint, Excel) for continuous improvement of processes and workflows within the department and in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Upkeep for delivery of high-quality education programs will call for intern support with administrative tasks and providing recommendations for streamlining workflows where necessary to elevate functional efficiencies. In the area of education programs, this intern will be collaborating with the Customer Education and Applications teams to update and/or create new learning materials, tools, and collaterals in support of internal and external training activities. Our intern will be fundamental to the Customer Education and commercial teams in provision of top-tier education programs and excellent customer experience.

Key qualifications include the following:
Able to work full-time over the summer months (June – August/ Sept) Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program and have at least one semester remaining to complete after the internship Rising Junior or Rising Senior Majoring in Project Management, Education/Training, Applied Technologies (Artificial Intelligence, MS Office, Teams, Box, Sharepoint). Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience or exposure to working with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Advanced Level MS Office Applications (Powerpoint, Word, and/or Excel) preferred Organization, Workflow/Process improvement, creative, resourceful, problem solving, initiative Ability to work onsite at our San Diego campus. Intern housing, relocation, and housing stipends are not providedThe hourly pay range for this role is $23.00 - $25.00 per hour. Compensation is determined by class standing and operational function.
