Position Overview

As a Data Engineer intern, you'll be at the forefront of our mission to improve important data processing and analytics pipelines. You'll delve into research, find ways to transform data into relevant insights, and build robust pipelines to create master data sets. You'll be placed into one of our multiple teams that directly impact Autodesk's diverse range of software products.

Responsibilities

Develop ETL processes and data processing workflows for diverse projects using the latest technology stack, including tools like Snowflake, Fivetran, dbt, Apache Spark, and more

Use test-driven development principles to design data transformations

Build data quality tracking mechanisms, design solutions to measure data quality, detect data issues and anomalies, and address inevitable changes in data ingestion and processing

Develop, execute, and document software solutions to address complex data collection, processing, transformation, and reporting issues

Work with the team to troubleshoot code-level problems and develop new features

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must be enrolled full-time in undergrad or graduate program focusing on computer science, information science, analytics, data engineering, machine learning, or related fields, with graduation expected in winter 2025 or 2026

Proficiency in CS fundamentals, SQL, and Python

Interest in learning and experimenting in the field of data engineering

Good communication and teamwork skills

Passionate towards business requirements

Posses a strong desire to uncover the "why" behind business neds and processes

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with big data tech stack including Spark, Hadoop, RedShift, Snowflake, Hive

Knowledge of AWS, CI/CD, GIT, and Jenkins

Experience with big data transformation and analytics

Familiarity with Agile Scrum Teams

The 2025 Canada Internship program runs for 16 weeks (January 6th – April 25th or May 5th – August 22nd). All internships are paid. As an intern, you will contribute to meaningful projects, be mentored by industry leaders, and participate in tech talks and other activities designed to support your personal and professional development.
