As a legal and compliance intern, you will gain great insight into the Legal & Compliance issues affecting a biotech/rare disease company in Latin America, based in the offices in São Paulo, Brazil. During your internship, you will learn how a Legal & Compliance department for a multinational company operating in the region works and be an active member of the team, counted on to assist with both day-to-day responsibilities and complex matters. You can expect to learn about contract drafting and negotiation, compliance & integrity programs, data privacy, corporate, regulatory and intellectual property laws, labor and all legal matters related to the business of a pharmaceutical / biotech company.
Work Model:Core Lab & Ops: This role typically requires that the majority of the work be conducted on-site and thus will be subject to certain on-site safety protocols during the pandemic.
Responsibilities: Assist lawyers and other legal and compliance daily tasks Assist with preparation of contracts Conduct legal research Provide day-to-day department support with general administrative duties Draft and control corporate documents Control and maintain files and department’s archives Requirements: Student seeking a law degree Excellent organizational skills Knowledge of Microsoft Office Great attention to detail and excellent oral and written communication skills Interest in and/or experience in the biotech/ life sciences sector Advanced/Fluent English and basic/intermediate Spanish are necessary Availability to work 30 hours per week
