The **Manufacturing Engineering team** is a group of Engineers responsible for the automated production equipment used to manufacture diagnostic tests produced by Hologic. **Throughout the 10-12 weeks you’ll have the opportunity to participate in the following:** + Troubleshooting equipment issues; mechanical, electrical and software + Design of components and/or fixturing + Commissioning of new equipment + Improving processes within manufacturing **We are looking for a motivated, bright individuals who are capable of solving problems and strive to make a difference in the world. Key qualifications include the following:** + Able to work full-time on site at our San Diego campus over the summer for at least a 10-12 week period (May/June - August/Sept) + Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program with at least one semester remaining post internship + Majoring in an Engineering field (Mechanical, Electrical, or Bio) + Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.2/4.0 + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Experience with MS Office applications + Exposure to controller programming (PLCs, Arduino etc.) + Exposure to statistics and statistical/math-based software (Minitab, JMP, MATLAB) The hourly pay range for this role is $19 - $28 per hour.
