Intern, Merchandising and Supply Chain
1325 Walnut Ridge Drive, Hartland, WI 53029, USA | Hourly | Merch Garage Pod - 9305 | Full Time General Function The Merchandising and Supply Chain Intern is a support role for various merchandising and supply chain initiatives, both in-store and digital while contributing to special projects across teams. Gain professional work experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while learning about the merchandising and supply chain disciplines. Essential Responsibilities Merchandising Content + Assist with digital retail research, helping provide insights and recommendations to enhance the customer journey and product presentation. + Input product content information into internal systems to ensure up-to-date and accurate data. + Help collect both external and internal data to maintain content standards across platforms. + Update and track vendor forms and internal spreadsheets to ensure alignment across departments. Supply Chain Content + Review current supply chain processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose changes to enhance performance and overall efficiency + Research and record inventory discrepancies + Monitor shipping schedules and purchase order fulfillment in Vendor Portal (International and Domestic Vendors) + Create and provide daily and monthly metrics, dashboard reports, and KPIs + Prepare daily back-order reports for management to understand company inventory standings + Prepare forecasts for assigned vendors and present recommendations to Planner + Support the Supply Chain Team by assisting in data gathering and analysis of the current state of product categorization and sourcing strategy Projects + Retail industry reporting - Conduct research and compile analysis on competitor retailers, focusing on their use of technology, product offerings, and strategies for both digital and in-store customer experiences. + Process feedback & support - Assist in identifying and recommending process improvements to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness across merchandising and supply chain operations. + Omni reporting analysis - Analyze basic category and site health reports, presenting key findings and insights on performance across online and in-store platforms. Qualifications + Currently enrolled and working to complete BS/BA with an emphasis in Merchandising, Supply Chain, Operations, Marketing, or a related field + Ability to read and write reports and business correspondence + Ability to effectively present information to peers and management + Solid critical thinking and problem solving skills + Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel with the ability to create formulas, v-lookups and pivot tables + Must be able to communicate effectively + Ability to calculate simple math, percentages, and ratios.
