Job Purpose
The Intern, People & Culture, will assist with People and Culture operations for the Nigeria team. This internship provides hands-on experience across various HR functions, focusing on completing employee documentation, supporting HR administration, and ensuring compliance with Evidence Action policies and Nigerian labor practices. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering exceptional HR service.

Duties and responsibilities
Assist with recruitment, including job postings, resume screening, and scheduling interviews. Support the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization. Participate in employee engagement activities, including organizing team-building events and recognition programs. Assist in handling employee inquiries and escalating issues as appropriate. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records. Collaborate with P&C team members to coordinate training programs and initiatives. Help track employee training and development activities. Support the payment processing for temporary hires and review permanent hire staff timesheets for accuracy and completeness. Provide general and clerical support to the People and Culture department and other duties as required. Facilitate employee statutory registrations, including NHF, Pension, and other mandatory employee benefits. Track Paid Time Off (PTO) for temporary hires. Update and maintain all department trackers. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
