Job Description:
2 technical projects are planned for the interns.
First project’s main objective is to improve EPD’s work flow and productivity by creating a database of drawings and costing for Nalco Water Singapore standard equipment. The scope would include using Autocad to create engineering drawing for standard products and to make enquiry with vendors for the cost of the equipment, and then consolidating the quotation to shared folder and excel sheet.
Second project will be the Nalco 3DT project (supply and installation of 3DT and equipment to customer). This project will involve project planning, execution, monitoring and closing. The intern will take the role as the project manager to manage and close the project within the fixed budget and timeline.
Learning Outcomes:
Intern will be able to pick up the project management experience for water treatment system and chemical dosing system and understand the project lifecycle. He/she will also gain experience on how to design a water treatment system. In addition, the intern will also be able to learn and apply their drafting skills on actual project. Lastly, the intern will learn how to work with a team and also with various stakeholders such as contractor, vendor and other colleagues in the company.
Requirement:
Degree in Chemical Engineering
Able to take up 6 months internship
Understanding of Water Chemistry (preferred)
