Job Description

As a QA Engineer Intern at Procore, you will participate in building new test automation frameworks for our rapidly growing products. Develop, maintain, and execute test automation scripts and work closely with the development and QA teams to deliver a high-quality product.
This position will report to the QA Engineering Manager on one of our P&T teams and will be based in the Cairo, Egypt office. We're looking for someone to join our team in Summer 2024.

What you’ll do:

Plan, design, develop, and maintain automated tests to enhance the quality of our web-based software applications and servicesAutomate and execute functional UI and API end-to-end tests as well as integration testsComply with project coding standards and industry best practicesWork on a shared code base, in a team environment, cooperating with co-located and remote team membersImprove software quality by conducting systems analysis, participating in designing test charters, and recommending changes in policies and procedures,Participate in planning for software development projects, and ensure projects are concluded according to the planned delivery datesRepresent the team in collaborations with partners and clients as neededAnalyzes test results to determine where application bugs exist and where tests need improvementVerify that the implemented software meets the business requirements

What we’re looking for:

0-1 year of software web development experience and/or software automation testing.Good knowledge of industry testing/development best practicesGood knowledge and understanding of OOP concepts and implementationGood knowledge of test automation using Python, Java, C#, Selenium, Cypress, SQL, etc.Good understanding of software testing methodologies, QA tools, and Agile principlesGood understanding of software engineering and OOP conceptsStrong problem-solving and research skillsBasic understanding of the full web stackBasic understanding of HTML/JS/CSS conceptsExcellent verbal and written English communication skills
