Overview:
The Internship program has been designed to allow students to learn through hands-on experience providing an opportunity to blend textbook knowledge with practical experience.
The Systems Intern will play a pivotal role in supporting the execution of various projects within our organization. This role will work closely with experienced Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, and Software Engineers, gaining hands-on experience in project planning, coordination, and execution. Responsibilities will include assisting in documentation, testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met efficiently and effectively.
Throughout the 10-week program, students will have the opportunity to work cross functionally with other departments to maximize their opportunity to learn as much as possible.
ResponsibilitiesKey Accountabilities:
Complete assignments on time; make sound technical judgments and suggestions. Test and evaluate work; confer with senior staff as needed. Prepare and/or assist in the preparation of technical reports and documentation. Test fixture development and instrument automation. Design and execute experiments Participate in risk management activities Execute design verification Possible Wet lab bench work with Assay Development The Intern will be involved in the day-to-day activities of the team included aiding other departments as they relate to department projects. We expect the intern to gain an in-depth knowledge of the product and its associated processes, particularly the process activities in-which they will be directly involved. The intern will have opportunities to assist in nearly all aspects of the workflow.Networking/Key relationships
To be determined based on the departmental needs. QualificationsMinimum Knowledge & Experience Required for the Position:
Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or Graduate degree program with a minimum GPA of 3.2 in STEM field, (Biomedical, Electrical, Mechanical, Software).Experience in one engineering discipline: mechanical, electrical, or software.Ability to analyze engineering data and statistics.Experience in mechanical, electrical, software disciplines.Ability to handle multiple priorities, projects, and assignments simultaneously.Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.Ensure and maintain compliance with the Company’s quality system requirements. through training and adherence to policies, procedures, and processes.Strong proficiency using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).The pay range for this position is currently $24-$28/hr. Individual compensation is based on the candidate’s qualifications for the position, including experience, skills, knowledge, education, certifications, internal equity, budget, and/or other business and organizational needs.
