Maxar Space is currently seeking a Systems Integration and Test Development Intern to join our Assembly Integration and Test department in Palo Alto, CA. In this role, you will be learning to create electrical test scripts to test against a given spacecraft across various test phases; from Communication Panel and Bus Module Integration through Launch Base activities. This includes test development, data analysis, and initial troubleshooting efforts, as required.

Responsibilities:
Working with Systems and Front-End Engineers to develop electrical bus test scripts and procedures for new programs and subsystems.Develop stand-alone software and other tools to support development and spacecraft testing.Improve current bus test scripts using software tools and improvements.Verify test scripts and procedures comply with the test requirements.Use engineering analysis to troubleshoot anomalies and provide solutions.Work with other software groups to support Satellite Mission Systems vendor tool updates.Learn and understand all spacecraft subsystem functions, interfaces and physical hardware.Provide specialty training internally and to outside groups.Minimum Requirements:
Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent residentCurrently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with completion of 2 years or more, or currently enrolled in a master's degree program in electrical, electronics, aerospace, mechanical design, materials, or industrial engineering or related discipline. Proficiency with Microsoft Office required.Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with satellite design and testing obtained through educational training and/or on-the-job experience in a related field.Familiarity with satellite command and telemetry databases.Proficiency with databases, TCL, C++, VBA or Python.Highly skilled with Microsoft Office.Strong collaboration and communication skills.The base pay for this position within California is: $27.00 - $30.00 hourly
The salary range listed is based on two years of completed studies. This range will vary based on the number of years of experience and work location.
