Position Overview
Lucid is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented intern to join our Vehicle Engineering team. In this role, you will support the operational functions of Vehicle Engineering, including financial planning and tracking, facilities upgrades, people communication, data analysis, and dashboards for performance KPIs. You will work closely with the Vehicle Engineering leadership group to identify and implement new engineering tools and define gaps in engineering processes. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our dynamic team in a growing company and gain valuable experience in the automotive industry. You will report to the Director of Vehicle Engineering Operations.
Key Responsibilities
Support the operational functions of Vehicle Engineering, including financial, facilities, headcount planning, and other initiatives. Implement new tools to increase efficiency and accuracy of engineering work. Define gaps in engineering operations and modus operandi. Establish tracking dashboard and analyze team performance data. Support ongoing business planning actions by collating data and tracking risk and opportunities from the vehicle engineering departments. Maintain a constant staffing headcount tracking sheet of need versus actual. Ensure ongoing accuracy of the headcount database. Populate the Learning and Development matrices with input from Vehicle Engineering leadership, and lead activities to implement training. Create business cases for future facility needs, and act as on-site customer to monitor completion. Assist in executing events that foster team cohesion and diversity in the workplace.Qualifications
Exceptional communication skills in written and verbal English. Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to develop strategic planning related to project timing, cost, and technical requirements. Experience creating and using GANTT charts. Capacity to communicate effectively with different teams. A positive attitude with a drive to learn and contribute meaningfully.Education

Program Information:
Timing: May- August, or June-September pending class schedules. Duration of Internship: Our internship program is 12 weeks; the end date is flexible based on individual needs. Work Location & Environment: This position will be in Newark, CA, and is fully in-person. You must be prepared to start onsite for your first day of employment. Compensation: Student compensation is based on location and current degree level, non-negotiable ranging from $35 to $48 (subject to changes). Relocation: May be provided on a case to case basis. Housing/Transportation: You must provide your own living arrangements and transportation in the local area. Background Check: All offers of employment are contingent on clearing a background check. Drug Screening: All offers of employment are contingent on passing a drug screen. Medical benefits: Dental, vision, and medical on day 1 for all interns working full-time. Visa Sponsorship: Lucid may but is not obligated to sponsor foreign national employees requiring company sponsorship for U.S employment authorization.
