Intern: Graphic Design (Sneaker Factory)

Role Overview:

We are looking for a creative thinker with a passion for design and fashion. Our Creative Design Internship at Sneaker Factory offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced retail environment. You will work closely with our Lead Creative Designer and the marketing team to support various projects across print, digital, social media, photography, and other design mediums. This internship will provide valuable insight into the world of retail design and branding.

Responsibilities:

Assist in creating visual assets for social media posts, including graphics and illustrations. Collaborate with the design lead to develop concepts and design layouts for print materials such as window banners, flyers, and posters, showcards and gondolas. Design website banners, email templates, and digital ads. Photo editing and retouching high-quality images. Create mock-ups for branding. Participate in brainstorming sessions for creative marketing campaigns. Research design trends and competitors for design strategies. Assist with organizing the digital asset library. Assist in preparing presentations for meetings or internal reviews. Assist with designing graphics and visuals for event signage and promotional materials.  Collaborate with the social media team to create engaging content for various platforms.  Help in creating infographics and data visualizations to communicate complex information. Support the design team in preparing materials for trade shows and exhibitions.  Assist in designing logos and branding elements for new initiatives or campaigns.  Help with video editing tasks, such as cutting footage, adding effects, and creating motion graphics. Provide input on colour schemes, typography, and visual styles for design projects. Assist in conducting print checks and preparing files for production. Collaborate with other departments to ensure design projects meet deadlines and objectives.

Qualifications:

Relevant diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or related field.

Skills:

Strong interest in retail, fashion, sports, and design trends. Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is a plus. Creative portfolio or samples demonstrating design skills and projects (school projects or personal work). Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude towards tasks. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
