Michael Baker is actively seeking Interns for the Linthicum (Baltimore), Maryland and Alexandria, Virginia offices.  As a part of our team, the Intern will assist a specific department or various departments in technical duties and projects as assigned.

DESCRIPTION

Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids. Assist engineers and/or inspectors with various tasks. Work under supervision of a staff engineer or project manager.  Assist with data collection, input, verification, and manipulation Complete site visits to collect data or assess site conditions Active construction sites (Construction Management position)

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Enrolled as Junior of Sophomore in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Planning, Engineering, Construction Management or a related field. Minimum of secondary completed coursework in students’ field of study. Excellent English language skills, written and verbal, are essential to success in this role. Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office. AutoCAD or MicroStation design software experience may be preferred depending on department. Ability to perform some duties in the field may be required depending on department.

No additional compensation will be made for relocation or housing costs involved with any internship position. 

 

COMPENSATION

The approximate compensation range for this position is $15/hr. to $30/hr. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.  Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
