 Radio Frequency Electronics Design Intern - Summer 2025

Short Description

Skyworks AIS group is seeking team members to help innovate market-specific mixed-signal system on chips (SoCs) for wireless applications spanning/wireless audio and data end-products.  Our advanced radio, combining both advanced RF silicon hardware and custom embedded firmware enables best in class radio latency for both audio and data applications as well as audio quality unavailable from competing low-latency wireless technologies.   Come be part of a team that is changing the way the world communicates and who is at the forefront of wireless innovation! 

Internship Descirption This position is for a summer 2025 internship on Wireless Applications and System Group  Be mentored while contributing to improve the performance of wireless systems. This internship focuses on RF board-level design, debug and in-system performance evaluation. This work will include schematic development, capture, layout of radio / microcontroller circuits.. test and evaluation of existing Printed Circuit Board solutions Over-the-air evaluation of hardware in both practical and controlled (anechoic chamber) environments

Expect to collaborate with other team members and review your findings regularly with the group.

Required Experience and Skills 2nd or 3rd year undergraduate or postgraduate in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related program. Some knowledge of analog and mixed mode electronic design. Coursework, including lab ,in  RF , microwave and wireless technology knowledge  Some  experience with lab test equipment (scope, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, Audio Precision, etc.) Willingness to learn and ability to work with moderate supervision. Desired Experience and Skills  SMT soldering experience a big plus, through-hole experience helpful Scripting using Python and / or LabVIEW   Basic knowledge of digital data and audio transports (SPI, I2C, USB, I2S, UART) Nice to have but not a must: prior experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools.

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
