**30645BR** **Service Line:** Materials **Office Name:** Asheville **Job Description:** The Terracon Asheville office is hiring a Materials Intern for our Summer 2025 program. We offer our interns coaching, opportunities to expand their knowledge base, and the prospect of a job after graduation. This position will be primarily field-based with some time in our laboratory analyzing samples. The program term will be for 8 weeks or more beginning in early June. **General Responsibilities:** This position will conduct field and laboratory testing of concrete, soil, asphalt, and aggregates. **Essential Roles and Responsibilities:** • Performs sampling or testing as directed. • Provides assistance to other field and/or laboratory personnel • Transports equipment, specimens or documents to field personnel, laboratory, clients or other offices, and provides physical assistance in equipment set-up. • Cleans equipment, vehicles and work areas • Assists other technicians or professional staff on routine tasks • Will be placed in a progressively increased role of training and responsibility in work assignments. **Requirements:** Must be actively enrolled in an engineering or geology degree program at an accredited college or university.
