Responsibilities The API Development intern will participate in developing and optimizing API solutions, assist in API design reviews, and contribute to the establishment of API standards and best practices. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams to support API-led connectivity across our organization. Interns will have the opportunity to work on projects that directly contribute to GM Financials' API strategy. Qualifications Skills Knowledge of RESTful services, JSON, XML Experience with API development platforms (Postman, Swagger) preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills required This incumbent will be required to give presentations and communicate with business leaders Strong analytical, quantitative, problem solving and conceptual skills required Must be detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines Must be able to work independently or in a team setting Education Must be a current student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field from an accredited college or university with at least one semester remaining upon start of the internship required Experience Must possess a minimum of a 3.0 (out of a 4 point scale) cumulative GPA Junior or Senior classification preferred
