We have an exciting opportunity for an Undergraduate Student to join our Program Management Office in Poway, California. This internship opportunity is available to an undergraduate student pursuing a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) degree with an interest in applying these skills towards business development and project management. This role will expose the intern to project management principles and techniques in support of managing hardware engineering projects on the Army Gray Eagle Performance Based Logistics (PBL) contract – gaining exposure to the many opportunities available at GA-ASI while becoming familiar with programmatic requirements including contractual compliance, scope, schedule and budget. Assignments will be accompanied by general instructions and suggestions, outlining possible approaches, sources of information, and potential problems to be encountered with work reviewed regularly.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Completion of routine tasks with a focus on coordination with external departments (engineering, manufacturing, contracts, procurement, sustainment, etc.)Assists in applying knowledge to analyze, investigate and resolve problems associated with successful execution of engineering projectsAssists in developing electronic and hard copy reports, records, diagrams, charts, schedules, and estimates used to effectively communicate project status and activitiesSupports internal and customer focused meetings with regular project status updatesSupports recurring activities including labor and cost reviews for trends, anomalies and recommendations for updates in support of earned value reportingResponsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the CompanyExpected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practicesWe recognize and appreciate the value and contributions of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences and welcome all qualified individuals to apply.
