About the Team:

We are currently seeking an extraordinary, highly motivated individual to join our Biospecimen Intake team, with a focus on optimization of genomic data management for the summer of 2025.

Internship Assignment Summary:

Maintain, follow, and optimize current SOPs and laboratory protocols for maximum efficiency and yield.Review genomic data for entry into LIMS to increase the utility of biobank specimens.Database (LIMS), document, and record upkeep.Assists in performing equipment maintenance, calibration records, and maintain quality control programs.Promote quality and procedural improvement thought process.Help keep facility neat, clean, and orderly at all times.Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.Perform other responsibilities required for successful R&D laboratory o& CLIA operations as assigned by manager.

Education/Qualifications/Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related field1-2 years experience with molecular techniques, biochemical and/or cell-based assays (next generation sample preparation and sequencing preferred)Experience working in a regulated laboratory (CLIA/CAP/GLP) is preferredExperience with drafting or reviewing SOPs in a QA/QC setting preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate.Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

Pay Range: $17.00 - $20.00/hr

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. 

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.  Casual, PRN & Part Time employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan only.  For more detailed information, please click here.
