About the Team:

Labcorp Birmingham performs automated and manual lab testing for over 60,000 patient specimens each day, in a variety of specialized disciplines using state of the art instrumentation and technology. This team works in a high-throughput, high volume laboratory providing accurate and timely results. Learn about the technical operations and specimen analysis through being in a lab assistant role supporting credentialed professional medical laboratory scientist and technologists.

Education/Qualifications/Skills:

Working towards bachelor’s degree, preferably in a Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Microbiology programCareer goals that align with working in a medical diagnostic, medical toxicology, or anatomical pathology lab as a technologistHigh level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitaskDemonstrated ability to work effectively in fast paced high-volume environment and while prioritizing and manage multiple tasksComfortability with handling biological specimens such as blood, urine, stool, serum, or plasma.Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and internal/external colleaguesEmbraces diverse ways of thinking through various forms collaboration and partnership

Pay Range: $17.00-$21.00/hr

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
