Zions Bancorporation’s Internship and Banker Development Program positions are not eligible for employment visa sponsorship (e.g., H-1B visa). We currently have an opening for an intern in the Correspondent Banking department. Correspondent Banking offers a full line of treasury, credit, and liquidity products to serve community banks and their customers. This includes quality products and solutions to more than 800 community banks in almost all 50 states. The intern will have exposure to all different lines of business within Zions and the banking industry, and will:

·     Help with day-to-day projects within the department

·     Work alongside the Correspondent Banking Manager and Senior VP of Risk and Operations

·     Gain exposure to the work of a credit analyst

·     Be able to work with operations, sales, and marketing groups

·     Participate in research on community banks and their financials

·     Various clean-up/data projects

Qualifications:

Currently working on a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related degree Basic working knowledge or interest of financial and spread analysis, credit, lending and underwriting processes and principles.  Knowledge or interest in working with various types of loans, credit risk, legal and regulatory requirements. Requires strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Good communication skills, both verbal and written.  Detail oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to make sound decisions and be inquisitive – not afraid to ask questions or make recommendations. Working knowledge of computer software programs including spreadsheets, word processing, etc.
