Position Summary
Under direct supervision, provides daily project support to Infrastructure Integrity, which includes Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data entry, scanning, filing of documents, and other special projects as assigned. Accuracy and attention to detail are critical skills and must be a part of daily activities.
Minimum Requirements
+ Preferred - Previous experience with ESRI GIS software and
+ Preferred - Experience with Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) software.
Education
+ Required - Completed a minimum of one (1) year of college level coursework, preferably in engineering, information technology, construction or a closely related or technical field of study. Must be currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate program or if a recent graduate, must be pursuing post graduate hours.
Licenses, Certifications and/or Testing
+ Required - Have and maintain a valid driver’s license Upon Hire
+ Required - Employee(s) in this position are covered under the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol testing provisions. This includes post-offer, random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, follow-up, and return to duty testing. Upon Hire
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
+ Proficiency with personal computers, tablets, and/or other electronic devices to include familiarity with, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and enterprise wide software (e.g., SAP). Aptitude and willingness to work with new software.
+ Ability to learn new or upgraded computer software as required.
+ Exceptional organizational skills including ability to prioritize work, handle multiple tasks, and adapt quickly to changing work demands and interruptions.
+ Must exhibit good analytical ability.
+ Ability to work independently on a consistent basis is preferred.
+ Efficient written and verbal communication skills, in English, to assist internal and external customers, co-workers and management professionally, regardless of provocation.
Essential Functions
+ Process various records and drawings into GIS as needed.
+ Assist with transfer of documents to permanent electronic storage.
+ Perform various field tasks as needed, safely, in various weather conditions.
+ Assist with miscellaneous special projects as needed.
