Intern- Engineering & Technology (I2C)

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Integrate a new I2C logging tool into the TIDE framework. Develop an API bridge between TIDE and the logging tool for real-time I2C transaction capture. Enhance TIDE’s existing I2C functionalities, including improved timing control and error handling. Implement a structured data logging system and visualization tools for I2C analysis. Create Python-based automated test scripts to validate the integration. Conduct debugging, unit testing, and validation of I2C communication protocols. Document the development process, findings, and final implementation for future reference.

Education & Experience

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or a related field. Prior coursework or experience with I2C communication and hardware interfacing is a plus. Familiarity with Python programming (IronPython experience is advantageous). Experience with .NET and C# development for test automation or embedded systems.

Skills

Strong understanding of I2C communication protocols and debugging techniques. Proficiency in Python scripting for test automation and instrument control. Experience with .NET and C# development, particularly for hardware interfacing and test automation. Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and improve existing software functionalities. Experience with data logging and visualization techniques. Good documentation and communication skills for technical reporting. Ability to work collaboratively in an R&D environment with minimal supervision.

Working Conditions

This position is on-site May require occasional off-site meetings or travel Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary Interaction with team members and external contacts is a regular part of the job May require occasional overtime and flexibility in work hours to accommodate the executive’s needs

Physical Requirements

Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or conducting meetings. Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents. Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Mobility within the office environment to attend meetings or interact with colleagues.
