•Project Title: Chemical Management•Project Description: –Consolidation of chemical data used in MSB•Project Scope: •As an EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) intern focusing on chemical management, you’ll have a variety of learning opportunities that can significantly enhance your skills and knowledge. Here are some key areas you might explore:1.Regulatory Compliance: You’ll learn about various regulations and standards related to chemical safety, such as OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines, REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) regulations, and GHS (Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals).2.Risk Assessment: You’ll gain experience in identifying and assessing risks associated with chemical handling, storage, and disposal. This includes conducting hazard assessments and developing mitigation strategies.3.Safety Data Sheets (SDS): You’ll become proficient in interpreting and managing Safety Data Sheets, which provide critical information about the properties, hazards, and safe handling of chemicals.4.Chemical Inventory Management: You’ll learn how to maintain accurate chemical inventories, track chemical usage, and ensure proper labeling and storage practices.5.Emergency Response Planning: You’ll be involved in developing and implementing emergency response plans for chemical spills, leaks, and other incidents.
