Responsible for participating in an intern development program to learn the various aspects of the Human Resource Department functions at the Tube Fittings Division of Parker Hannifin to support the Eaton, OH location.
• Provide functional support for the locations as a part of the Plant HR Team.
• Assist in recruitment efforts, onboarding, retention, record keeping and auditing.
• Assist in event planning, team member recognition programs, community outreach and other social programs.
• Participate in both targeted projects and broader programmatic initiatives related to HR in support of business objectives.
• Provide support and assistance to maintain strong, positive employee relations at all levels of the organization.
• Participate on high performance teams including Engagement and Wellness teams.
• Perform these and all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management or Business Administration.
• At least one year of undergraduate coursework completed
• Demonstrated proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Presents self in a professional appearance and manner.
• Organized, efficient and able to multi-task. Strong project management skills required to support multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive issues.
• This intern opportunity has the opportunity to assist during the school year as well as in the summer months.
