Below are some examples of functional areas that the summer intern will likely be able to shadow, support, and understand how each functional area plays a critical role in the the development, design and implementation of HR strategy and its overall success. Our program offers: 11 weeks of work experience (May 21- August 8, 2025) Competitive salary Executive and peer networking opportunities Independent and team project experiences Community Service activities Career development Opportunity to apply for full-time career positions Qualifications Must be a current student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field with at least one semester remaining at the start of the internship. Must possess a minimum of a 3.0 (out of a 4 point scale) overall GPA. Junior or Senior classification preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills required. This incumbent will be required to give presentations and communicate with business leaders. Strong analytical, quantitative, problem solving and conceptual skills required. Must be detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Assist in the continuous development and improvement of information and processes required to perform quality service delivery Participate in developing department goals, objectives and systems Partner with other HR and GMF teams on special assignments and events Must be able to work independently or in a team setting. Previous internships considered a plus. GM Financial does not provide sponsorship for a work visa status for this position.
