Basic Qualifications:

Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Minimum completion of Sophomore level coursework from an accredited institution.  Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in an Information Management, Computer Science, or Business Management with a concentration in MIS program from an accredited institution. PC literate in Microsoft Word and Excel Problem-solving skills and continuous improvement mindset Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Microsoft .NET development experience SQL programming experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent analytical skills Ability to work in a self-directed or team environment Strong organizational skills Relevant internship/work/research experience a plus

The IT Intern position will be located in our Plant 4, Thermatech and Ti-Ingot Operations in Whitehall, MI.

We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic student to join our team as Information Technology Summer Intern. This position will support the information services group with one or multiple phases of the information services methodology including analysis, design, development, testing, and support of new information technology solutions.

The 2025 Summer Internship Program consists of 10-14 weeks of structured hands-on training involving plant tours, lunch & learn seminars, fun networking events to connect with fellow interns, and projects selected to add direct value to the business.  At the conclusion of the program, each intern will present their projects to plant managers, supervisors, and mentors. An internship at Howmet Aerospace will provide an invaluable experience that you can utilize in any role, and it’s Howmet's goal to evaluate our interns for potential entry-level openings.
