Our Purpose: We pioneer the innovations that move and connect people to what matters Responsibilities Role description: In this role you will learn how the IT team supports our back office operations teams. In this role you will learn how we use technology to support various areas of accounting, financial planning, Treasury, and cash management activities. Responsibilities: Shadow senior team members in learning the basic processes. Contribute to solution design and support. Develop an understanding for how systems can solve various types of business needs. Our program offers 12 weeks of work experience (May 21 – Aug. 8, 2025) Competitive salary Executive and peer networking opportunities Independent and team project experiences Philanthropic activities Career development Opportunity to apply for full-time career positions Qualifications Must be a current student pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, IT Services, Cloud Management, Business, or a related field with at least one semester remaining upon start of the internship. Must possess a minimum of a 3.0 (out of a 4-point scale) overall GPA. Junior or Senior classification preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills required. This incumbent will be required to give presentations and communicate with business leaders. Strong analytical, quantitative, problem solving, and conceptual skills required. Must be detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Must be able to work independently or in a team setting. Previous internships are considered a plus. Preferred to have an interest in finance and budgeting processes and systems. GM Financial does not provide sponsorship for a work visa status for this position.
