Internship Position Title: Social Marketing Center of Excellence Our internship program is designed to provide real-world experience that is directly related to your academic discipline and career goals and provide you a better understanding of career options for your degree. Components of the program include: Hands-on experience working as a member of the Marketing department. Assigned projects to accelerate learning of key functions/process. Cross-functional departmental exposures within the corporate office. Professional development sessions and networking opportunities. End of program presentation of project findings, and recommended course of action to executives. THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE: The Social Marketing intern will be part of the Social Marketing Center of Excellence (SCoE), a collective of social & creator strategists and creatives developing joyful social experiences that drive forward Ulta Beauty’s brand building, brand discovery, and sales growth through beauty culture connections. As a SCoE intern, you will be developing creative strategies within your area of focus on how to intersect Ulta Beauty’s brand and commercial business goals with social consumer culture. You will also work ‘think tank’ style alongside your peers to develop smart, creative moments that establish Ulta Beauty as a social leader in beauty, utilizing social listening and measurement tools to make data-based recommendations for content development and platform strategy based on performance and online conversation. You will gain important experiences related to brand social content & creative development, community engagement, social intelligence and trend forecasting, creator relations, events, measuring outcomes and success, and how paid media triangulates across owned content & creators to deliver best in class social excellence. RESPONSIBILITIES OF INTERNSHIP: The SCoE intern will play a key role in one major initiative and a supporting role in multiple across the various workflows within the Center of Excellence. Uncover unique and differentiated trends, insights and conversation surrounding Ulta Beauty to inform, impact or even introduce key initiatives based on guest needs, wants, and concerns. Partner on the development of creative strategies that bring smart insights into execution across social – through content, creator collaborations and unique activations and experiences that drive culturally-connected sales, brand relevance, and discovery. Support integrated social and creator strategies across workflows with regular ‘think tank’ reports developed in collaboration with peers and meant to inform the SCoE and broader Marketing teams on insights and recommendations. Partner with content strategists and editorial leads to develop creative concepts, understanding how insight flows into idea and translates to execution. Collaborate with Paid Media team to understand the impact of creative effectiveness of owned and creator content on paid performance. Develop regular social content for use across Ulta Beauty’s social media channels (as on-camera talent, creative designer, and/or strategist) REQUIREMENTS: Must be a rising Junior or Senior enrolled in an accredited undergraduate university in the summer of 2025 Strong academic record. A creative strategist – uses data to present creative ideas. The ability to execute on content development a plus. (ie. Graphic Design, Videography/Editing, Editorial/Copy) Critical thinker, collaborative mindset, and strong time management skills. You are a student of culture – you love social media; you see why certain brands, ideas, and moments drive consumer conversation; you have a love of beauty, fashion, and lifestyle brands Previous social media experience and involvement with on-campus organizations or activities. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to connect with individuals with different backgrounds, and to recognize the nuances in complex topics related to DEI is a key element for success. Desire to work in a fast-paced environment and interact with management level personnel. Proven command of Microsoft Office (particularly PowerPoint, Word, Teams). The pay range for this position is $14.00 - $25.00 / Hour. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Eligible associates may also earn overtime pay as required by applicable law. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
