The Process Engineering intern will support variation reduction efforts related to the EPDM extrusion process. They will identify and document critical process parameters, then use this information to create training modules and update process specifications. The Process Engineer will also complete an oxidation characterization study on CCM’s TPO & EPDM membrane. The intern will spend time in EPDM operations, TPO operations and the Research & Innovation Center.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Attend Daily Plant 4 Tier Meetings. Interact with Plant 4 Process Engineering and R&D Process Engineering to Develop Critical-to-Process Extrusion Parameters and Develop Training Modules Based on These Parameters. Reformat and Author Processing Specifications for Rubber Extrusion. HP-OIT Study to Determine Aging Variation in TPO. HP-OIT Study to Determine Aging Variation in EPDM.Qualification:
The Process Engineering intern should have completed their sophomore or junior year in pursuit of a 4 yr degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineer, Plastics and Polymer Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field of study.
Additional Information:
The position will be located in Carlisle, PA and reports to the plant Process Engineer.
