**Position Title:** Procurement Intern 2025
**Position Summary:**
Our Procurement Services team is a strategic partner to our business units and support departments, all around the world. We strive to be a valuable and sought-after partner who can help our stakeholders achieve their objectives while harnessing the value they need from our supply chain.
The Procurement aspects of Asplundh’s Procurement Services team is comprised of Sourcing, Buying, System Administration, and Analytics, collectively for managing over $1B of annual spend. We manage procurement activity for direct goods and services, indirect goods and services, and technology across our wide range of companies who support our customers with utility vegetation management, engineering, construction, and related services.
As the Procurement Intern 2025, you will have the opportunity to work inside our Procurement teams on exciting projects involving our data, system(s), and strategy. The Procurement Services leadership will provide guidance and support but also provide you with the opportunity to provide valuable input into our projects, adding to a diversity of thought on a range of activities as we work on transforming aspects of how we deliver value to our internal stakeholders. This role will be hands-on and rewarding for any candidate seeking a deeper understanding of Procurement’s role in the broader supply chain ecosystem.
**Job Responsibilities:**
+ Collaborate with department members on scope defined projects that further our value delivery in areas of data management, supplier performance reviews, policy & source selection guidance, as well as other topics that may come up during the program.
+ Research data history and details to help develop feedback for project leads to consider in crafting final objectives and achievements.
+ Provides general & administrative support to the department, as needed.
+ Type reports, purchase orders, memoranda, and other documents.
+ Establishes and maintain records on work performed toward the advancement of establishing improved standard work instructions.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
+ Work 40 hours per week over the 12-week period. Dates can be flexible based on personal schedule and other related factors.
+ Work daily from the Willow Grove office.
**Experience and Education:**
+ High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, college-level Supply Chain Management
+ classes or pursuit of a Supply Chain Management Degree preferred. Recent college graduates with no professional experience are also encouraged to apply.
+ Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 on 4.0 scale.
**Skills and Competencies:**
+ Ability to communicate with multiple levels of employees, with a strong focus on service delivery to internal customers while supporting alignment with broader organization.
+ Ability to demonstrate common sense, and sound judgement with moderate amounts of direction to resolve problems or discrepancies within the essential job functions.
+ Willingness to learn and improve upon time-management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
+ Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
+ Ability to learn procurement procedures and policies.
+ Must have basic computer skills, with a basic understanding of Microsoft Office tools, especially, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
+ Experience with analytics tools such as Tableau, Qlik, R, PowerBI, etc. is a plus, but not required.
