Position Summary & Responsibilities:This internship is anticipated to run from middle of May - August 2025, with a possibility of being extended, working an average of 40 hours a week. This role is based in Durham, NC with a four day per week onsite requirement. Relocation Assistance is not available for this role. In this role you will provide support to the Packaging Purchasing Department based in Durham. Supporting buyers on data collection, market research, preparation of charts, and any other activities that will help Buyers prepare Category Sourcing Strategies and Business Reviews.Provide day to day support to the Buyers.Support buyers on researching the market (key players, market conditions etc.) regarding categories sourcing strategies.Support buyers on Supplier Business Reviews preparation: performance data collection & analysis and PPT preparation.Support buyers on all the activities linked to CSR (Corporate Social Responsibilities) included ECOVADIS & SBTi.Support buyers on the profitability projects & securitization projects.Maintain and update regularly various centralized purchasing files to include, but not limited to: Approved Supplier List, NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreements), contracts and required Supplier documentation (SAD, SSS, Iso certificates).Assist buyers on SSC Meetings minutes and action plan follow up.Assist buyers on spend data analysis & supplier panel management through data analytics (Spend, rationalization, optimization)Education, Skills, & Experience:High School Diploma/GED is required and must be actively enrolled in an academic program/institution pursuing a degree.
Supply Chain, Engineering, and Business majors are preferredExperience using Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP in Excel is highly desiredInterest in Purchasing and supply chainStrong organizational & interpersonal skillsExperience using an ERP, such as SAP, is preferred#biojobs
