Intern - Quality Engineering Chippewa Falls, WI (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=600+Cashman+Drive+Chippewa+Falls+WI+USA+54729) Description OVERVIEW Cadrex is searching for a Quality Engineer Intern to Implement and maintain engineering and quality process including ensuring quality of manufactured goods from delivery of raw materials to final product by continually assessing process and recommending improvements. Works closely with other departments to ensure continuity in production, efficiency, quality and safety. This will be a full time 11-week internship. Cadrex KEY RESPONSIBILITIES + Create and sustain Quality plans based on customer needs in reaction to business failures. + Maintain all quality records and documentation in accordance with the quality manual and specific customer requirements for development and sustaining production + Support oversight of the manufacturing of products to ensure that engineering documentation is consistent with manufacturing methods employed + Interact with manufacturing and engineering teams to optimize documentation related to quality and inspection checks + Support acceptance criteria based on customer requirements + Support on the resolution of issues pertaining to the quality of the product from incoming inspection of material to in-process inspection and final inspection of products + Strive for on-time processing of non-conforming products + Assist manufacturing in evaluating metrics of scrap and non-conforming products + Learn and support the development of FMEA’s + Support concurrent engineering efforts by participating in design development projects representing quality assurance and customer requirements and needs + Ensure proper inspections are being performed to ensure product quality. This includes the oversight of incoming material inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection of completed product + Perform first article control, gauge RNR, CPK analysis, and support CMM + Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality assurance and assure that effective corrective actions are implemented + Perform the corrective action and root cause analysis using the 5 Why method, fishbone and other tools Requirements PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS + Experience with hand tools is preferred. + Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering, CNC or Manufacturing Program. + Computer skills in Office Suite. + Experience in reading blueprint/manufacturing print EDUCATION + Currently enrolled in relevant program LOCATION + Onsite SCHEDULE + M-F CORE VALUES + Safety first, rising to the challenge, collaboration, accountability, and doing the right thing WORK ENVIRONMENT + While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration.
