**JOB SUMMARY** The Safety intern will support enhancing ITC’s data analytics capabilities, by collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and disseminating both threat intelligence and safety data from various sources. This position will be engaging and dynamic affording the intern a close view of critical functions such as Safety, Corporate Security, Security Command Center, and Human Performance. Additionally, this position would be responsible for bringing increased visibility to trends and markers by developing models/dashboards to better support our safety and security business objectives. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES** + Accompany Safety Specialist in the field and communicate ITC safety rules, practices, procedures and expectations to contractors working on company. + Assist in the review of policies and procedures to ensure compliance will federal, state and local regulations. + Assists in the development and distribution of regular safety messages and safety training material to employees and contractors. + Conducts jobsite audits and reviews with an ITC Safety Specialist to measure contractor compliance and provides feedback to personnel working at the jobsite. + Participate in departmental meetings with internal and external groups to review incidents, metrics, and observations. + Assist with the maintenance of departmental records and metrics. **JOB REQUIREMENTS** + Entering Sophomore, Junior, or Senior year at a 4-year college or university, majoring in Occupational Health, Safety or Environmental Engineering Technology, Industrial Hygiene, Leadership or Organizational Effectiveness or another related field. + Proficiency with the Microsoft office suite of projects, and proficiency in Excel. + Ability to take direction and action quickly. + Ability to work both independently but also with teams. + This program is a 12-week program during the summer, with 40-hour work weeks. + Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
