Program dates: May 30 – August 8, 2025. **Location** This position will ideally be hybrid in our San Jose, CA office. Potentially open to remote work for the right candidate. **The Main Responsibilities** The Sales Support Associate (SSA) Intern is a support extension of the account team to drive greater efficiency and productivity for the sales organization. The Sales Support Associate Intern will be responsible for maintaining understanding of Lumen's internal sales systems and processes while acting as the subject matter expert for all internal questions and escalations around these processes. + Supporting pre & post-sale activities around project quoting, order support& accuracy, and ensuring proper sales recognition. The focus of the role is to limit administrative burden on sellers while enabling sales to focus on customer facing/revenue generating activities + Serve as subject matter expert for quote creation for sales representatives. Providing guidance to sales team and end-to-end accountability on the order creation to sales recognition process. + Administrative tasks involve Salesforce management (accuracy and accountability of opportunity value), SFDC reporting and supporting forecasting efforts of sales team, assisting with meeting Sales Exit Criteria, and managing large data sets for customer quoting/order completion. + Expedite sales process by facilitating requests with appropriate internal groups, coordinating completion, and ensuring timely responses. + Facilitate service inventory investigation. + Provide support to account team as needed. + Will provide direct sales support by utilizing a variety of organizational and project management skills. + Initiate prospecting campaigns in support of the sales team as a Client facing resource. **What We Look For in a Candidate** Program eligibility is contingent on the candidate’s commitment of the entire 10-week program. No exceptions will be made. + **Required qualifications** + Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior level education status at the start of the internship + Graduating August 2025 – May 2027 + Preferred fields include bur not limited to: Business, Communications or related field + Intern must be able to work 40 hours per week during the 10-week program (May 30 – August 8, 2025) + US work authorization is required. Individuals needing visa sponsorship are not eligible. + **Proficiency and understanding of:** + MS Office Suite + Salesforce experience would be nice + **Professional Attributes** + Strong drive for results and taking initiative + Strong cognitive skills to grasp complex systems and process (Positive attitude and willingness to learn complex systems and processes) + Flexible to learn new process and articulate effectively to broader sales audience (you can remove based on revision to top bullet) + Ability to be resourceful and adaptable + Ability to collaborate and have agility while making effective decisions + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Ability to interact with business partners and drive the conversation. + Flexible and adapts well to change **Compensation** Internship compensation ranges depend on each individual’s level of education, geographic location, and experience/qualifications aligned to the role. **Hourly Based Pay Range:** Min: $22.00/hour Max: $35.00/hour **What to Expect Next** After completion and submission of your application, you will be asked to participate in a virtual video interview. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
