Overview The Plant Boiler Intern will work directly under the supervision of Power Plant Lead Engineer, Power Plant Operators and Hospital Engineers on a variety of systems to further their knowledge in a healthcare setting. Responsibilities Job Description Shadow Power Plant Boiler Operators and perform work by direction on the following systems and auxiliary equipment. Including but not limited to: · Boilers/pumps/motors · HVAC · Plumbing · Pneumatic Tube Systems · Emergency Generators · Building Automation Systems · Fire Alarm System · Blueprints/AutoCAD drawings · Medical gas systems · Patient care equipment · Nurse call systems Qualifications Required Qualifications · Current enrollment in Mechanical, HVAC, Electrical and or Boiler Operations school training program. · Mechanical experience desired · Special or higher Boiler license Preferred Qualifications · Mechanical, HVAC, Electrical and or Boiler Operations Technical school training · Two (2) plus years mechanical experience desired · 2 B MN State Boilers License EEO Statement EEO/AA Employer/Vet/Disabled: All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to any lawfully protected status Benefit Overview Fairview offers a generous benefit package including but not limited to medical, dental, vision plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, PTO and Sick and Safe Time, tuition reimbursement, retirement, early access to earned wages, and more!
