Major Activities
Gain an understanding of corporate income tax by assisting with preparing federal, state, and international income tax returns, extensions, and estimated taxes, including calculating book-tax differences and supporting work papersGain an understanding of corporate indirect tax by preparing tax account reconciliations, working with 3rd party tax advisors on technical issues, analyzing accounts for variances, and reviewing exemption certificatesAssist with income or sales tax audits including responding to notices and gathering data/preparing support schedules, researching tax issues, drafting correspondence with taxing authorities, and working with outside advisorsGain of understanding of transfer pricing through the calculation of monthly and quarterly intercompany transfer pricing chargesPrepare monthly and quarterly intercompany wire transfersAssist in the preparation of business license filings and annual reportsResearch tax technical issues and investigate accounting entries for proper tax treatmentGain experience with tax technology like OneSource, CheckPoint, Alteryx, Vertex Solutions, and AI toolsAssist with special projects as they ariseOther duties as assignedMinimum Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree in AccountingMust have completed junior year and going into 4th year of schoolOverall GPA of 3.0 or higherAccounting GPA of 3.0 or higherMinimum Special Certifications or Technical Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint or equivalent Google Suite applicationsMinimum Type of Experience the Job Requires
