We are seeking an intern for 6 months from January-June 2025. This internship will focus on the following areas:
Discrete Event Simulation (DES) Project Support: Assist with the ongoing IM Machining DES project:Phase 1: Support the deterministic DES to sequence machining jobs and optimize equipment uptime.Phase 2: Contribute technical support as we develop a stochastic DES model in Arena, enabling enhanced capacity and planning decisions.Cost Improvement InitiativesCollaborate with Bosch Production Systems (BPS) to identify and drive cost improvement projects in 2025.Quality Improvement on the Shop FloorProvide shop floor support, focusing on quality improvements through direct engagement with associates.Other essential and peripheral tasks may be assignedQualificationsMust be currently enrolled in an accredited university (ex. CHEA) and pursuing a Bachelor’s in Engineering with minimum two semesters completedMust be 18 years of age as of the first day of employment in the internship.Minimum overall GPA of at least 3.0.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently as well as in a team and to lead small project group.Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office with a focus in Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.Additional InformationBy choice, we are committed to a diverse workforce - EOE/Protected Veteran/Disabled.
