Intern - Tooling Engineer

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's degree program in Mechanical Engineering Expected graduation date in Fall 2025 or Spring 2026. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or equivalent Demonstrated internship, work, research, or extracurricular participation   Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.

Compensation for this internship opportunity ranges between $20-$23 per hour.  (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skillset, and/or location).

This position will be located in Waco, Texas.  We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic student to join our team as an Intern. You will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day functions of our business. The intern contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of operations by identifying areas for improvement, implementing solutions, and actively participating in various projects. The role provides valuable learning opportunities and exposure to different aspects of the business. 

Your education is just the beginning - you'll become an active member of our Engineering team, reporting to our Engineering Manager.  During our 12-week internship program, you'll tackle real-world challenges through impactful assignments, and work alongside our industry changemakers.  

Intern Impact Project:  Tooling Engineering

The Tooling Engineer Intern will work with one or two Tooling Engineers to draft tool parts, create tool package assemblies and input tooling information into our business systems (BAAN/Oracle). At the end of the 12-week program the Tooling Engineer may gain some responsibilities of designing a specific tool package for a header or roller.

Implement GD&T 3D model tooling and tooling packages Do cost analysis of tooling Design tooling for multiple pieces of machinery (Header, Roller, Assembly) Troubleshoot tooling issues on the shop floor
