During your internship, you will work on a highly functioning team and aid in providing design services for a wide variety of projects. You'll receive guidance, supervision and mentorship by experienced engineers and professionals with your success as the goal. The majority of our interns convert to full-time employees.
What You'll Be Working On
Collaborate on real-world railway and transit projects, assisting in design and development.Perform detailed structural calculations under supervision of Lead Structural Engineer.Coordinate structural design to meet project requirements using AutoCAD and Revit.Collaborate effectively with diverse disciplines and assist in field surveys.Review and organize structural shop drawings.Attend seminars to stay current with industry trends as directed.Minimum Qualifications
Enrolled in ABET-accredited bachelor’s or master's program in Civil or Architectural Engineering, with emphasis in Structural Engineering preferred.Prior internship or coursework experience in structural engineering.Familiarity with STADD, Revit, RAMSteel, or equivalents.Proficient in AutoCAD and willingness to learn Revit.Experienced with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Capable of field inspection activities such as climbing ladders and using man lifts.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Able to work independently and collaboratively in team settings.
