During your internship, you will work on a highly functioning team and aid in providing design services for a wide variety of projects. You'll receive guidance, supervision and mentorship by experienced engineers and professionals with your success as the goal. The majority of our interns convert to full-time employees. 

 

What You'll Be Working On

Collaborate on real work projects by creating basic plans and details for transit and rail projects, specifically traction power designs and related infrastructure.Assist in collecting and organizing information for design, cost estimates, and project verification.Learn to develop 3D models and construction plans using CADD software.Review vendor drawings to check they follow project specifications.Support the development of reports and gather information from other projects and clients.

Minimum Qualifications

Enrolled in an ABET-accredited bachelor’s or master’s program in Electrical Engineering.Demonstrated interest in transmission engineering, traction power, or control systems through prior internships or applied academic coursework.Good verbal and written communication skillsProficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)Strong data analysis and problem-solving abilities

 

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
