Internal and Employee Communications Manager

Mission of the Role: You are responsible for developing and executing a strategic internal communications program that incorporates a mix of content and formats to connect, inspire and inform Visteon’s workforce. As the driver of corporate-level People communications, you will shape communications that enhance understanding and support for Visteon’s global HR initiatives to drive business success through talent. You will collaborate across leadership to anticipate and plan communications priorities, develop tools and channels to effectively update employees and improve access to materials, resources and understanding that support Visteon’s ability to meet our goals.

Mission of the Role: The Manager of Internal and Employee Communications is responsible for developing and executing a strategic internal communications program that incorporates a mix of content and formats to connect, inspire and inform Visteon’s workforce. As the driver of corporate-level People communications, you will shape communications that enhance understanding and support for Visteon’s global HR initiatives to drive business success through talent. You will collaborate across leadership to anticipate and plan communications priorities, develop tools and channels to effectively update employees and improve access to materials, resources and understanding that support Visteon’s ability to meet our goals.

Key Objectives of this Role:

1. Impact Communications: Develop, implement and program manage corporate-level internal communications strategies, messaging and collateral (written and visual) to support key business objectives, long-term goals, special projects and general company needs.

2. People Communications: Serve as a strategic business partner for global HR initiatives (including but not limited to employee experience, talent management, total rewards, change management and HR technology implementation), leading the creation and implementation of communications to ensure processes are clear, employees are informed, managers are well-equipped and timely action is taken when needed.

3. Content Creation: Create strategic communications materiais (including but not limited to newsletters, presentations, emails, intranet content, etc.) that connects to Visteon’s priorities and culture. Communicate clearly, consistently, and accurately across a variety of channels.

4. Editorial Calendar Management: Develop and maintain a global content calendar to ensure that internal communications are timely and relevant. Get input and alignment on calendar with relevant cross-functional stakeholders.

5. Employee Engagement & Virtual Event Management: Proactively identify opportunities to promote employee engagement, celebrate our team and our work, and manage virtual internal corporate-level events and initiatives, like Global Town Halls and milestone events, to create a positive organizational culture and build connection among employees in a virtual environment.

Key Performance Indicators:

Content Consumption: Track the click-through rates and engagement levels of internal communications such as newsletters, emails, and intranet posts. Event Participation: Monitor the attendance and participation levels in virtual events, town halls, and other internal initiatives. Message Alignment & Employee Understanding: Assess the consistency and alignment of internal communications with the company's strategic objectives and values, as measured through employee surveys.


Qualification, Experience and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business, or a related field 8+ years of experience in corporate communications, media relations, internal communications, or employee engagement roles Proven experience implementing and/or managing internal communication platforms Strong understanding of employee engagement strategies, with an ability to tailor communications to a diverse workforce Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders, providing strategic counsel and crafting impactful communications that align leadership messaging with organizational goals Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen ability to simplify complex topics Ability to use data insights to inform communication strategies and measure impact Experience driving communication strategies in a global organization, effectively tailoring messages to diverse audiences across multiple regions and cultures Experience with change management and organizational communication Familiarity with digital tools and platforms for corporate communications

Reporting Structure: This role reports to the Director of Global Brand & Communications.

Location: This is a hybrid role (flexible 3x a week in-office) based out of Visteon’s Van Buren Township, Michigan, Office.
