Internal Audit Consultant (Metro Detroit Area) **Location:** Remote with occasional in-person meetings **Experience Required:** Minimum 5+ years in internal audit **Job Description:** We are seeking a highly experienced Internal Audit Consultant to join our team on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in internal auditing and be able to seamlessly integrate into our team and processes. **Key Responsibilities:** + Conduct internal audits as directed by the lead auditor. + Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. + Identify and assess areas of significant business risk. + Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls. + Prepare detailed reports on audit findings and recommendations. + Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of audit tasks. + Attend onboarding and offboarding sessions at our office. + Participate in occasional in-person meetings as required. **Qualifications:** + Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal audit. + Strong knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules, and regulations. + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Effective communication and interpersonal skills. + Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite. **Additional Information:** + The position is primarily remote, with minimal travel required.
