ABOUT THE JOB:The primary focus is to conduct branch audits throughout the WillScot (WS) network of approximately 240 branch locations. The purpose of the branch audit is to provide assurance that the company’s operational policies and procedures are being adhered to. This role will require approximately 75% travel.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:Primary Responsibilities:
Participates in the achievement of the internal audit annual plan by performing branch audits throughout the WS branch network. This includes scheduling, planning, testing, preparation of work papers and documentation, reporting deficiencies, and following up with management. Perform approximately 75 branch audits annually (majority on-site) Oversee both on-site and remote branch audits conducted by other Internal Audit team members. Assist in the development and design of branch audit programs. On a quarterly basis, provide a slide deck summarizing branch audits conducted by the Internal Audit team for the prior quarter; this should include 1) a summary page of all the branch audits conducted 2) individual results from each branch audit by audit program step 3) a listing of each observation and action plan by branch for observations during the quarter. For each audit performed: Conducts and document results for each audit program step. Investigate any deficiencies noted. Obtain action plans from branch leadership for tests where deficiencies were noted. Prepare audit documentation and compile branch audit findings for each branch visit and generate an audit report based on findings. Conduct audit close meeting with Branch Manager, Regional Manager and other WillScot employees to summarize findings and walk-through action plans. Conduct follow-up communications with the Branch Manager and Regional Manager to verify and corroborate audit findings are addressed. Quarterly, summarize outstanding action plans and communicate those to the branch network and operations leadership. Assist Director of Internal Audit with special projects and investigations, upon request Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS: 5-7 years of experience working as an auditor, inventory control specialist, or operations specialist Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
