The Opportunity

 

Our Risk team provides comprehensive risk services that help companies around the world evaluate and enhance their risk management and internal audit functions. Professionals in this role will work within the Risk Consulting group to evaluate and test business and IT process controls, management review controls and application controls to support financial statement audits, service organizational control reporting, technology (IT) control and security projects, as well as internal audit projects. You will also have the opportunity to work on third party risk management, enterprise resilience, risk transformation and digital risk projects. Your key responsibilities


As a Risk Consulting professional, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive risk services through a suite of strategic, outsourcing, and industry-focused operational recommendations that help companies around the world evaluate and enhance their internal audit and risk management functions. We plan, lead and perform internal audit, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and risk advisory projects in accordance with the client's risk management strategy, resulting in the identification of control enhancements, operational and compliance process improvements and efficiency opportunities as well as company-wide cost improvements.

 

You will also be responsible for establishing relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels. Consistently delivering quality client services, monitoring progress, managing risks and ensuring key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes while staying abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client’s business

 

We are hiring into our Risk Consulting group in the following role:

 

Senior Manager: As a senior manager, you will work closely with the Partner(s) to craft strategies, manage projects and deliver recommendations to help our clients with their most pressing issues. You will also be responsible for:

Planning and executing reviews around the effectiveness of internal controls (business process and IT) and other special reviews or mandates Provide high quality, professional and day-to-day management of projects with an understanding of EY methodology, approach and service offerings with the ability to identify opportunities to improve such service offerings Developing reports and client presentations with the ability to present to the client with professionalism and polish Project Management and delivery – ability to deliver the project on budget and on time and to identify any scope variances proactively Team management and coaching – leading and providing support and coaching to a team of senior consultants, consultants and managers such that you are developing a high performing team with a positive team culture Develop and maintain productive relationships with clients, which includes managing expectations of service and identifying opportunities for additional sales opportunities Project oversight over project delivery which includes planning, briefing the team on the client environment and industry, communicating wit the client and completing the project on time and on budget

 

Skills and Attributes for Success

 

To qualify for this role, you must have

Between 8-10 years of relevant experience Relevant designations e.g. CPA, CIA, CISA, etc. Demonstrated competence in one or more of the following: SOX, ICFR and ITGCS Demonstrated knowledge of COBIT, ITIL or other IT frameworks would be an asset Knowledge of specific IT applications/platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Windows, etc. would be an asset Proficiency with MS Office, including MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint Experience leading and coaching teams of varying sizes Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills A valid driver’s license driver’s license and passport or be in the process of obtaining these documents

 

Ideally you would also

Be bilingual in French and English. This is an asset and not mandatory
