The ReEntry Program is a 15-week fellowship program, with the prospect of an offer for permanent employment with JPMorgan Chase at the end of the program. The  permanent placements will be based on both business needs and candidate skill set.

As an Internal Audit Associate, you will build diversified experiences working with the firm’s Internal Audit teams, including Asset & Wealth Management, Commercial Banking, Consumer & Community Banking, Corporate & Investment Banking, Global Technology, Corporate Functions and Internal Audit Practices, where you will perform continuous monitoring of business activities and assess emerging trends impacting the control environment, communicate audit findings to management and identify opportunities for improvement in the design and effectiveness of key controls. You will also receive dedicated training, mentoring and career development with the opportunity for promotion to a Senior Auditor role on one of our Internal Audit teams in the future, based on performance and demand.

Job responsibilities

Participate in audit activities from planning to reporting by engaging with colleagues and stakeholders to evaluate and report on the design and operating effectiveness of management’s controls Communicate audit findings to management and identify opportunities for improvement Create and maintain collaborative working relationships with stakeholders, while providing independent challenge Accelerate your career development by participating in immersive learning, coaching and mentoring opportunities. Foster meaningful relationships with team members and a culture that encourages integrity, respect, excellence and innovation Remain up to date with evolving industry and regulatory developments impacting the firm Seek efficiencies in the audit process through automation

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

2+ years of internal or external auditing experience, or relevant business experience Bachelor's degree (or related financial experience) in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline Understanding of internal control concepts with the ability to evaluate and determine the adequacy of control design and operating effectiveness Ability to effectively and efficiently execute audit testing and complete audit workpaper documentation Adaptive to changing business priorities and ability to multitask in a constantly changing environment

Preferred qualifications, ccapabilities and skills

Prior experience with Big 4 accounting firm and/or internal audit department in financial services industry is a plus CPA, CIA, CISA and/or Advanced Degree in Technology, Finance or Accounting Excel or Alteryx skills and experience with data analytics Specialized knowledge related to fiduciary risk, anti-money laundering, model risk, or other areas of specialization is a plus.
