Internal Auditor
Description We are seeking a skilled Internal Auditor for our team in the Import/Export industry, based in ALLEN PARK, Michigan. This role offers a unique contract to permanent employment opportunity, where you will be tasked with executing audit programs, conducting financial audits, and managing fixed asset accounting. This position also requires a comprehensive understanding of bank reconciliations and proficiency in using Sage 300. Responsibilities: • Conducting thorough financial audits and presenting audit findings. • Administering audit programs and ensuring compliance with audit activities. • Managing bank reconciliations and addressing financial discrepancies. • Overseeing fixed asset accounting and ensuring accurate record keeping. • Utilizing Sage 300 for efficient and effective accounting operations. • Collaborating with auditors, understanding, explaining, and owning the audit process. • Responding to auditors and ensuring accurate and timely communication. • Managing intercompany pool in Sage 300, demonstrating IT proficiency. • Handling audit activities for US operations and providing IFRS calculations for auditors in London. • Acquiring warehousing experience, specifically with properties, to enhance auditing skills. Requirements • Demonstrated experience in the Import/Export industry • Proficient in executing Audit Programs • Demonstrable skills in conducting both internal and external audits • Proven expertise in Financial Auditing • Ability to plan, coordinate, and execute various Audit Activities • Knowledge of Fixed Asset Accounting principles and practices • Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations • Proficiency in using Sage 300 accounting software • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong focus on detail and accuracy • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • Certification as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
